The 2011 Astoria Regatta celebration, held in August, included several competitions.
As part of the Sail on Regatta promotion, merchants participated in the Astoria Regatta window decorating contest in much larger numbers than in the past, with 22 entries. The winner was Finn Ware, and owner Saara Mathews received a plaque from the Regatta Association and advertising space from the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA). The theme of the contest was Celebrate the 200th Birthday of Astoria.
Winners of the merchant drawings for the ADHDA Sail on Regatta promotion were Kathleen Hudson, who received a 43-inch television donated by Sears of Astoria, and Vickie Baker who received a Michael Foster print.
The Englund Marine Twilight Boat Parade winners were judged from the deck of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Alert, which carried the Astoria Regatta Queen and Court and several royal courts from visiting cities.
