Stephanie Goss of Astoria, daughter of Earline Bottelson of Astoria and Bob and Marshia Goss of Yakima, Wash., exchanged wedding vows with Alex Kurrus, also of Astoria, on Monday, March 8, 2010, on Kahala Beach in Honolulu. The groom is the son of Nina Kurrus of San Diego and Ted and Rita Kurrus of Green Valley, Ariz.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a red and white dress from David’s Bridal. The wedding took place under the Hau tree.

Maid of honor was Miriam Casteel of Springfield. Bridesmaids were Janice Bottelson of Astoria, Kathy Goss of Yakima and Kristy Kurrus-Chaffin of San Diego. Also participating were Sarah Casteel of Springfield and the couple’s daughter, Alexis Kurrus of Astoria.

Best Man was Matt Finney of Portland. Groomsmen were David Kurrus of Chicago, Austin Goss of Astoria, Joe Horvath of Maui, Hawaii, and Joe Brunetto of California. Nic Chaffin of San Diego and the couple’s son, Chase Kurrus of Astoria, also participated.

The bride graduated from Astoria High School in 1996. She works at the circuit court in Astoria.

The groom is a 1985 graduate of the Academy of the Pacific in Hawaii. He is employed at McKeown’s in Seaside.

A reception was held at Tiki’s Grill In Hawaii.

The couple honeymooned in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.

The couple will reside in Astoria.
