Former Seaside resident, Stephanie Denton, died from complications of COPD on November 23, 2010, in her home in Welches, Ore. She was 65.

She was born Stephanie Anne Bendix for famous actor William Bendix of “The Life of Riley” and Theresa Stefanotti Bendix on December 16, 1944 in Los Angeles, Calif.

She was brought up in Bel Air, Calif., during the “golden years” of Hollywood.

Stephanie made her homes in Big Sur, Calif., Sedona, AZ., and the coastal towns of Cannon Beach, Long Beach and Seaside.

She recently retired to Welches to be closer to her family. Stephanie absolutely loved working in the hospitality business for over 25 years at The Breakers, Best Western Ocean View Resort and Tolovana Inn.

She was an avid reader, a wonderful cook and a crossword puzzle/trivia wiz.

Stephanie is survived by her children, Loni Stambaugh (Kelly Scott) of Brightwood, Ore., and Scott Denton (Elizabeth) of Battleground, Wash.; grandchildren, Andy and Kelsey Denton of Battleground and best friend Denice Hayes of Warrenton. Ore.
