Lum’s Auto Center rallied Astoria businesses to participate in a fundraiser for the Astor Elementary School Playground Project. Many businesses such as T Paul’s Urban Cafe/Supper Club, Astoria Coffeehouse & Bistro, Finnware, Fultano’s, Lum’s Auto Center, Purple Cow, Bank of America, Crash Pads Inc., Mary Kay, Nepal on Exchange, City Lumber, Englund Marine and Vintage Hardware raised almost $2,000 for the playground project on June 25.

“Many thanks to these businesses for supporting the effort to provide a safe and fun place for Astoria’s children to play,” said Tamara Herdener, Playground Project committee member.
