Obituaries: Bernice Wilhelmina Cordiner

Bernice Wilhelmina Cordiner, 87, of Astoria, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Seaside.

She was born Aug. 26, 1923, in Luverne, Minn., to Fred C. and Clara (Moeller) Jauert.

She attended Luverne High School and Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minn.

She married Robert C. Cordiner. He survives, residing in Astoria.

Mrs. Cordiner was a registered nurse. She retired in 1983.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David N. Cordiner of Astoria; a daughter, Diane C. Service of Astoria; two grandchildren, Robert Service of Rainer and Julee Warner and her husband, Jason, of Bremerton, Wash.; and two great-grandsons, Jackson and Eli Warner of Bremerton.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Peace Lutheran Church, 565 12th St.
