Leadership award presented to Allen Foster

Allen Foster, Jewell School Board member, received a bronze board leadership award at the Oregon School Boards Association’s November convention in Portland. The award, offered through OSBA’s Leadership Institute, represents a significant level of achievement in board leadership and development. The institute offers four levels of awards for individual school board members, recognizing completion of specific OSBA board leadership courses.
Founded in 1946, the OSBA is a statewide leader and advocate for public education and serves 1,400 members of school district, charter school, education service district and community college boards across Oregon. Its board members serve as leading voices for public education in Oregon, setting the mission and goals for the association and advocating statewide for stable and adequate funding and for achievement and equity for all students.
