It was with great interest and hope that I read Peter Huhtala is running for Clatsop County commissioner. I’ve known Mr. Huhtala for 35 years and in that time have found him to be a hard working, stand-up guy who’s willing to work hard for his community and who puts people before politics.

He’s proven he is not afraid to stand up to powerful interests and fight for the economic and environmental health of the county. This will be an important election, and I urge those who want representative, transparent and progressive government to consider voting for Peter Huhtala.
