The reunion is alive with the sound of Goonies

OK, Gooniphiles, the ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SCORE OF “THE GOONIES,” composed and conducted by DAVE GRUSIN, which has been unavailable … is now available. But only for a short time. The release is a limited edition of 5,000 copies. CDs will being shipping the week of March 15.

Grusin also composed the scores for “On Golden Pond,” “Tootsie,” “The Fabulous Baker Boys,” “The Firm,” “And Justice For All” and “Absence of Malice,” and won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for “The Milagro Beanfield War.”

The site selling the more than 79-minute long CD says the release is in celebration of Grusin’s 75th birthday as well as the 25th anniversary of “The Goonies,” and features Grusin’s “complete swashbuckling score, plus a few bonus cues.”

The list of goodies on the CD includes “Fratelli Chase,” which has been used in numerous trailers, “The Goondocks,” “Playing the Bones,” “Pee Break and Kissing Tunnel” and of course, “One-Eyed Willie.” There are 30 tracks and four bonus tracks in all. All this for $19.98 plus shipping.
