Weddings: Steele – Horning

Jasmine Steele of Beaverton, daughter of Bluee and Francis Steele of Everett, Wash., and Rebecca Martilla of Portland, exchanged wedding vows with Nathan Horning of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, Wash., Feb. 27, 2010, at the Purple Wedding Chapel in Everett. The groom is the son of David and Janice Horning of Astoria.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Barbara Raspberry performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a white satin gown and two wedding rings – one from her husband and one from her parents.
Matron of honor was Tiffany Ingledue of Portland.

Best man was Joel Folgner of Astoria.
The bride is a graduate of Centennial High School. She is a branch administrator for Alarm & Access Control Technologies Inc. of Beaverton.
The groom graduated from Astoria High School. He is a U.S. Navy Corpsman petty officer 3rd class.
A reception will be held after the groom returns from deployment.
The couple had a one-night honeymoon in Seattle at the Grand Hyatt, then the groom had to report back to Fort Lewis. He deployed to Afghanistan March 4.
