SALEM – Jewell got past Willamette Valley Christian Tuesday night, 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15 in a Casco League match.

Jewell was coming off an upset loss to Falls City Monday, as Falls City scored a 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-16 victory at Jewell.

The Jays defeated Country Christian late last week, 24-26, 25-9, 25-15, 25-21.

Jeannie DiMaggio had 10 kills, eight blocks and seven aces; Thai Curtis served 12 straight points in the second set and finished with seven aces and four kills; and Chandra Marlow added five aces, three kills and two blocks.

Angel Ulm served up five aces, middle blocker Colleen Oingerang had four kills, and Brooklyn Gnuschke finished with 23 digs.
