A free seminar titled “Are We There Yet? Moving to and Through Adulthood with a Disability,” will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Northwest Regional Educational Service District, Clatsop Service Center, 3194 Marine Drive.

The workshop begins with a look at how the transition from high school into adult life is addressed in the individualized education program. It then covers the choice of college or employment and career options. These could include Social Security work incentive programs, vocational rehabilitation programs and the Ticket to Work program.

Parents and caregivers of children with special needs and the professionals who work with them will benefit from this workshop, which will also be helpful for students ages 16 through 21 who have disabilities.

Pre-registration is requested to insure availability of materials and refreshments.
