SeaPort Airlines, which serves Astoria with flights to Portland and beyond, is expanding.

The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded SeaPort Airlines the Essential Air Service (EAS) contract to operate flights to Hot Springs, El Dorado, Harrison, and Jonesboro, Ark. The EAS program has a goal of guaranteeing that small communities served by scheduled commercial air service before deregulation maintain such service.

SeaPort is now flying out of Memphis International Airport to each of these Arkansas communities three times a day every day except for Saturday.  The Pilatus PC-12 aircraft that is used in the Pacific Northwest is being used.
