Grupo de Danza Folklórica Mestizo, from El Centro NW, will provide entertainment at the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition’s award ceremony.

The Clatsop County Cultural Coalition’s annual grant awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Barbey Maritime Center on Marine Drive.

Coalition grants are funded by the Oregon Cultural Trust. At the event, $13,000 will be awarded to fund projects that support, maintain, preserve and protect cultural programs in the arts, heritage and humanities in the county during fiscal year 2025.

Coalition co-chair Charlene Larsen will serve as emcee for the evening. Special guest speaker is Jessamyn Grace West, executive director of the Astoria Arts and Movement Center and a founding member of the North Coast Arts Leaders group. Grupo de Danza Folklórica Mestizo, from El Centro NW, will provide entertainment.
