The word “restore” means to return something to an earlier condition. How does dumping Christmas trees into a river construe a “restoration?” (The Astorian, Jan. 4) Or dumping logs into a creek supposedly “restore” conditions for fish.

This is pure BS — and to say it is “volunteer” work — I would be interested to know how much people in the Necanicum Watershed Council are being paid — and who is paying them — or if they are actually “volunteering” their time doing this nonsense.

I’m afraid this is nothing more than “your tax dollars at work” and should be questioned rather than promoted.
