Manzanita Group Sets Pace – The Manzanita Pace Setters is a walk/jog/run club that meets at 7:30 a.m. Saturdays rain, wind or shine in the parking lot behind Spa Manzanita, located at 144 Laneda Ave. To participate, bring one can of food for the North County Food Bank. The self-paced, approximately one-hour course starts and ends at the parking lot, with a new route each week. All active club members will receive 10 percent off massages at the spa. NAMI Meets – The National Alliance on Mental Illness meets from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Providence Seaside Hospital Education Center, 725 S. Wahanna Road, Seaside. This support group welcomes anyone who has a friend or loved one who suffers from a serious brain (mental) illness (depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder). Senior Meals Set – The Warrenton Senior Lunch Program provides a chance to meet new friends and get reacquainted with old friends. DBSA Meeting Set – The local chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance will host a confidential, peer-led self-help support group meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Columbia Conference Room at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Recycle Old Ink Cartridges – A box for recycling used printer ink cartridges has been set up at Astoria High School’s main office as LeeLynn Vellucci’s senior project. The money raised from the recycled cartridges will go toward the Senior Celebration for the 2010 graduates on graduation night. The collection box will be in the office until the end of the school year.
