Warrenton landscaper specializes in rain gardens

WARRENTON – David T. Manion, president of Manion Landscaping Inc. of Warrenton, has successfully completed a course in “Rain Garden Site Assessment, Design and Construction,” presented by Robert Emanuel, Ph.D., of Oregon State University extension service, on March 20.

The class was held at the new Seaside library, and consisted of site, run off and soil evaluation, together with designing and constructing a “Rain Garden,” including what plants to use and proper maintenance of such a garden.

Manion graduated from Mount Hood Community College with an associate’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture. He has been landscaping in Clatsop County since 1976.
