The 2009 Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival Court will be formally introduced to the public at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis and Clark Elementary School, 92179 Lewis and Clark Road.

Senior Miss Norway is Brittany Nyberg, a junior at Warrenton High School. She is the daughter of Lisa and Willie Nyberg. Her grandparents are Willie and Charolette Nyberg and Sharon Tuveng and the late Gene Tuveng.

Senior Miss Sweden is Andrea Phillips, a junior at Astoria High School. She is the daughter of Louise and Paul Phillips. Her grandparents are Bob and Mary Oja and Bob and Ardelle Phillips.

Senior Miss Finland is Jessica Nokelby, a senior at Astoria High School. She is the daughter of

Connie and Michael Dubb and Tim and Mari Nokelby. Her grandparents are Mary and Herb Olson, Mary and Gary Nokelby and Phyllis Dubb.

Senior Miss Denmark is Jodi-Lynne Meyer, a senior at Astoria High School and senior class president. She is the daughter of Sonja and Jerry Nunnally. Her grandparents are Berit and Jorgen Madsen.

Senior Court Chaperone is Elizabeth Liz Jolley. She is married to John Jolley. Her heritage comes from both Sweden and Finland.

Junior Miss Denmark is Megan Virginia Davis, who is in the sixth grade at Hilda Lahti Elementary School. She is the daughter of Chris and Jeni Davis, and the granddaughter of Jim and Ginger Davis of Astoria and Ron and Alice Marr of Eugene. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Jim and Elizabeth Davis, and the great-great granddaughter of Anna Hansen Labiske Roberts.

Junior Miss Finland is Sofia Annika Morrill, a second grader at North Coast Christian School. She is the daughter of Gregory and Annamaria Morrill, and granddaughter of Phil and Koneta Morrill of Astoria and Anja and Erkki Salin of Finland. Great-grandparents are Lela Morrill of Newberg and Mildred and Melvin Wilkins of California.

Junior Miss Norway is Regan Denae Hunt, a second grader at Warrenton Grade School. She is the daughter of Jim and Tamra Hunt. Grandparents are Francis and Norma Ferre and Tom and Linda Hunt. Great-grandmother is Roberta Edwards Hunt.

Junior Miss Sweden is Mara Dowaliby, who is in the first grade at Warrenton Grade School. She is the daughter of Todd and Dixie Dowaliby. Grandparents are Bill and Betty Cunningham of Astoria and Mike and Sally Dowaliby of Whitefish, Mont.

Crown Bearer is Dale William Takalo, a third grader at Hilda Lahti

Elementary School. He is the son of Kara and Todd Takalo. Grandparents are Alan and Linda Takalo, Paul and Beth Colby and Bill Jeffery. Great-grandmother is Virginia Estoos.

Junior Court Chaperone is Kara Takalo. She is married to Todd Takalo. She is a preschool teacher at Immanuel Community Preschool in Knappa, and Sunday school teacher at First Lutheran Church.
