Letter: Granny’s wisdom

I learned to listen to my grandmother when it dawned on me that she was way smarter than I was. She always said about politics, “Don’t listen to what they say. Watch what they do.”
I’m not so silly as to think I have all the answers to the problems facing America today. But I have some observations that might help when we’re voting in November, especially for president, senators and representatives.
If Republicans want better border security, why did they vote against the border security bill that was written by Republicans and Democrats?
Republicans have said for eight years they would develop better health insurance than Obamacare. What is it, and where is it? It was a Democratic president, Barack Obama, who brought health insurance to millions of uninsured Americans.
Republicans said we would have great infrastructure. Good news: we are finally getting it, thanks to Democratic President Joe Biden. Go Joe!
If you’re still perplexed about voting, I suggest you remember this: It’s Democrats who follow through on policies and legislation to meet the needs of Americans. Vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and all the Democrats on your ballot.
