Together with Clatsop County Community Advisory Council of Columbia Pacific CCO, Providence Seaside Hospital and Sunset Empire Park and Recreation present the Healthy Hearts program for Providence patients who are Oregon Health Plan members. The free program for Clatsop County residents helps participants reduce risk factors for heart disease by providing one-on-one coaching to lose weight, eat healthier and move more.

Program coach Alix Richardson, a Portland State University graduate, specializes in community health education. She has put together a 12-week program with twice-weekly check-ins, group meetings and scheduled walks. Classes with experts cover yoga and mindfulness, meal planning skills and more.
