The Astoria City Council has declared July 27, 2024, “Bob Westerberg Day.”

Westerberg died in November. Born and raised in Astoria, he owned Paramount Drug Co. for 12 years. He served as a Clatsop County commissioner for eight years, and was involved in a number of community groups, including the Angora Hiking Club, Grace Episcopal Church and the Astoria Riverfront Trolley Association.
