Grace Episcopal Church holds Souper Bowl fundraiser
Grace Episcopal Church, 1545 Franklin Ave., is holding a Souper Bowl Lunch fundraiser to feed hungry families. For the third year, hot and homemade pre-game lunches will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8. Football fans are encouraged to represent their team colors.
Each lunch includes a choice from five assorted soups made by volunteers. Soup will be served with bread, drink and a cookie, and are available to go. The suggested donation is $10 per person, or $25 per family (cash or card), or the donation of two cans of healthy soup, chili or stew per person.
Proceeds will be used to purchase shelf stable, protein-rich soups and stews for distribution to hungry families through the Grace Food Pantry. For information, go to graceastoria.org.
