Letter: This July 4 what was there to celebrate?

I hoped there would be no fireworks this 4th of July.

What do we have to celebrate? Our freedom? Our decency? Our honor? Our integrity? Our faithfulness to our alliances? Our standing in the world? Our loss of democracy?

Save the money allotted for the fireworks. We are going to need it.
