• OK, Goonies fans, a treat is in store for you, courtesy of the Clatsop County Historical Society. A new exhibit, called “Quiet on Set!” utilizes “large-scale, behind-the-scenes photos taken during filming,” a museum press release says, and it also features “popular props from our collection, and first-hand accounts from those who worked on the film.”
• And, volunteers are needed for Goonies Weekend, June 5-8. There are literally scads of volunteer roles available. See the schedule and sign up at gooniesweekend.com/volunteering.
• Wondering how the progress is going on renovating the Goonies House, back to what it looked like in the movie? The work even includes adding a staircase, aside from finding odd items that match the movie sets as closely as possible.
