I see where the veterans’ demonstration downtown was met with heckles and boos from some passing motorists. Sixty-one percent of voting veterans voted for Donald Trump.

Over many objections, the American Legion and Astoria Senior Center parking lots were festooned with Trump flags for 6 months before the 2024 election.

Some of us find it hard to drum up sympathy for people who would vote for their own destruction.
