Utility work will lead to the closure of a section of 16th Street in Astoria on Tuesday, according to a news release from the city.
The street will be closed between James Street and Niagara Avenue to relocate utilities. The city expects the street to be closed from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., or until the work is completed, the news release stated.
Public access will be limited to residents only. Access for residents of James Street will be available from Williamsport Road only.
Weather or a mechanical failure may prompt a change in the construction schedule, according to the city.
