FishHer Columbia Pacific CommUNITY Alliance is holding its first commercial fisherman appreciation lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Englund Marine’s Cable Shop on Hamburg Avenue.

Commercial fishermen, processors and their families are invited to this event, which will honor their hard work and dedication. A free pulled pork and albacore lunch will be prepared by Mission Outdoors, and all attendees will receive a free T-shirt. There will also be an activity booth for children.

While supplies last, a free personal floatation device and an Oregon resident fishing license will be available for commercial fishermen. Oregon Sea Grant will also be on-site to offer survival suit testing, and will replace any expired or defective suits at no cost. For information, go to fishhercpca.com.
