U.S. Highway 101 is closed about halfway between Astoria and Seaside due to a crash that has taken down utility lines at milepost 14, the Oregon Department of Transportation says.
It may take several hours to reopen the highway Sunday morning, ODOT said in a news release, so travelers should check Tripcheck.com before using that route.
There is no local detour.
ODOT urged drivers to slow down and watch out for emergency responders when traveling in the area.
No other information about the crash was immediately available.
