Letter: All since Jan. 20

Since Jan. 20, thousands of federal employees have been fired from their jobs.

Also, President Trump pardoned all the people who held the riot at our nation’s Capitol, resulting in the deaths of five police officers, the death of one of the attackers and severe injuries to over 150 police officers doing their duty to protect the workers within the building.

People need to know how our national security, personal safety and financial benefits from the Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and various agencies that work for our citizens, are being attacked.

Elon Musk has gained access into our national treasury and has canceled the U.S. Agency for International Development, established by President Kennedy, that is a diplomatic tool for peaceful relations, while stopping starvation and disease from wiping out children living abroad. Musk now has access to the personal information of millions of people in our country, all with Trump’s permission.

I know many local folks had one issue in their minds when they voted for Trump, the prevention of abortion. Others were upset about inflation. Neither have been changed.

But thousands of FBI agents are possibly being fired for following orders to investigate the Jan. 6 riot, the inspectors general who prevent fraud are being terminated, lawyers are kicked out of the Justice Department for preventing crime, and names of CIA members are being leaked, so now they’re in danger. All since Jan. 20. Their families will suffer, also, due to no salaries being paid.

Trump tried to cancel citizenship status of anyone born to immigrants residing in the United States. Fortunately the 14th Amendment prevents that.
