Youth missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are available on a volunteer basis to assist Astoria seniors with chores such as housework, moving furniture, yard work or organizing a basement, garage or shed.

Arrangements for seniors living outside Astoria can also be made with other youth volunteers.

The volunteers rotate every six weeks, but the program is active all year long; help is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Monday. For information, call 360-919-6411 for female volunteers, and 360-771-1757 for male volunteers.
