City of Astoria workers are conducting an emergency sewer repair Thursday that has closed 12th Street between Harrison and Irving avenues.

The closure is expected to last until 4:30 p.m. or until the work is completed.

Public access to the area will be limited to residences only and no other vehicle access will be available during the closure.

Travelers are asked to approach the area with caution, obey all traffic-control devices and be aware of equipment and workers near the roadway.

The construction schedule is subject to change.
