Letter: Walk the line

For over a week now, your and my friends and neighbors have been standing on South Wahanna Road striking Providence Seaside Hospital for better health care for all of us.
Probably the most critical issue is proper staffing to take care of you, me and our loved ones in their most dire conditions: heart attack or stroke, etc. Providence has spent its time hiring strikebreakers from distant parts instead of bargaining.
My advice is, if your condition isn’t immediate, call the hospital, cancel your appointment and tell them to reschedule you when they settle with our local nurses. If you have time, stop by and walk the line with your caregivers. If you have a few extra bucks, they’re sorely needed, or be sure and honk and show your support. It all makes a difference.
