May 9, 1988 — Nov. 5, 2024
Christopher Levi Lampien, 36, passed away Nov. 5 and entered into the presence of his savior. His time with us was too short, but we rejoice in his complete healing, and look forward to our reunion someday.
He was born May 9, 1988. Chris was the middle child, having an older sister, Kristen Blankenship, and a younger brother, Dustin Lampien. Chris was a tender-hearted child, thoughtful and kind to everyone, known for sharing whatever he had with those less fortunate.
Chris accepted the Lord as his savior, and was baptized by his father, John Lampien, at a young age. His grandpa, Leon Wallace, was his best friend for many years, and had a profound influence on Chris’ life.
Christopher’s happiest times were spent either fishing or hunting. He loved the woods and the waters, and was an accomplished hunter, fisherman and mushroom hunter. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially by his sons and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Army, enlisting in 2013. He was a canine police officer, and his basic training was at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Chris had many careers, starting with his first job in high school at the Pig ‘N Pancake in Seaside, then selling cars at Lum’s Auto Center in Astoria. He spent several months working as a deckhand fishing in Alaska. He was also a skills trainer for children in foster care.
He put himself through the police academy. He serviced cars at a racetrack. He operated a septic truck for Terry’s Plumbing in Astoria. He sold Amway. He was a co-partner in an oil company. Everything he tried, he found success at.
Chris was an artist, and loved painting God’s creation. Many of us have his paintings.
He is survived by his wife, April Lampien; his six sons, Blaydn, Wyatt, Wesley, Winston, Benjamin and Levi Lampien; his parents, John and Ruth Lampien; his dad, Richard Julien; his siblings, Kristen Blankenship and Dustin Lampien; his half-sister, Grace Julien; his grandma, Diane Wallace; his grandfather, Terry Julien; his grandmother, Rhonda Parker; his uncle, John Wallace, and his wife, Kimberly; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Milagro Betnar, and reunited with his grandpa, Leon Wallace.
The family requests that donations be made to tfhstreetministry.com in Christopher Levi Lampien’s name.
The viewing was held at Laynes Funeral Services in Battle Ground, Washington. Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel in Toledo, Washington, was in charge of the cremation arrangements.
Please join us at 1 p.m. on Jan. 11 at Coastline Christian Fellowship, 89386 Oregon Highway 202, to celebrate Christopher’s life.
