Conservation district seeks landowner cooperators

The Clatsop Soil and Water Conservation District receives funding from the Oregon Department of Agriculture to engage agricultural landowners in voluntary conservation, particularly livestock impacts on water quality.

The district encourages landowners and occupiers to evaluate their agricultural and livestock activities to determine whether they might be polluting waterways, drainages or groundwater. Ensuring the continued growth and establishment of stream-side vegetation is also important.

Landowners interested in learning about the benefits of becoming a district cooperator can complete a no-cost, confidential, on-site consultation by emailing office@clatsopswcd.org or by calling 503-325-4571.
