Ear: Cats

“After multiple rounds of focus groups with cats and dogs, we are pleased to announce we’re about to publish the best cat and dog calendars we’ve ever made,” an email from the Portland U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced. “This is only our third year, so there’s a good chance that’s very accurate.”

The priceless (yet free) 2025 cat calendar is ready for download (very slowly) at bit.ly/2025aceCATS. Each month features an enormous cat “interacting with government infrastructure,” accompanied by humorous, but educational commentary.

June’s cat, which is shown, comes with a short description of the restoration work going on at the South Jetty (it will be completed in fall 2025, by the way). The calendar is a must for cat lovers, and silly fun for everyone.
