Jennifer (Jeni) Ritter was born on Jan. 12, 1978, to Virgil Dale Ritter and Elaine M. Ritter in Astoria.

She passed away at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria on Nov. 10. She was 46.

She went straight from the hospital to heaven. She was met by many friends and family: her grandparents, John and Nelly Barker; her aunt, Linda Barker Knuth; and her father.

Jeni had one brother, Steven Ritter (wife, Wendy); a son, Aiden; and her aunt and uncle, John and Lois Barker.

Jeni graduated from Warrenton High School.

Jeni got Type 1 diabetes at age 13 months. She struggled with diabetes complications and depression her whole life.

The love and pride of her life was her son, Aiden.

Jeni loved arts and crafts, going to the beach and spending time with her friends and family.

She was lovingly cared for by Caring for the Coast during her last months.

Her best friend, Shelly Wolfe, was there for her to the end.

We will miss Jeni, but are thankful that she is no longer in pain.
