Five emergency medical services providers from Metro West Ambulance were honored Nov. 11 to Nov. 13 by the American Ambulance Association during the annual Stars of Life celebration held in Washington, D.C.

Among them was Joe Scott, a paramedic, field training officer and shift leader with Medix Ambulance Service in Warrenton.

Stars of Life honorees received medallions and awards for their outstanding service during a special ceremony, and met with members of Congress and congressional aides to discuss policy issues critical to emergency medical services.
