Elena Delgado, of the National FFA Organization’s Astoria chapter, placed bronze in the National FFA Spanish Creed Speaking Invitational at the 97th annual National FFA Convention, held Oct. 23 in Indianapolis.

Forty-four FFA members from 24 states participated in this event.

The five-paragraph FFA Creed statement, and five-minute question-and-answer period, were conducted entirely in Spanish. To qualify for this event, Delgado received second place in March at the Oregon FFA State Convention.
