The Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association honored six members of Oregon’s food service and lodging industry, who were nominated by their peers, with statewide Oregon Hospitality Awards last month, including Lodging Operator of the Year: Eli Ramirez, at The Ocean Lodge in Cannon Beach, and Employee of the Year: Sandra Reyes, at SaltLine Hotel in Seaside.

Ramirez first started at The Ocean Lodge in the housekeeping department 18 years ago. He quickly advanced to supervisor, then to the front desk, and the assistant general manager position. He became general manager in 2020, and is now regional hotel manager for Escape Lodging.

Reyes, guest services agent for the SaltLine Hotel, is frequently mentioned in guest reviews for “going above and beyond,” and making their stays memorable.
