Letter: A keeper

Do you ever feel like there is no good news to be had these days? Me, too. Luckily, there are bright spots to be found.
Jess Sollaccio, who is running to retain her seat on the Warrenton City Commission, is one of those brilliant points of light that can make a person feel better about everything. Jess was appointed to fill a vacant seat last June, and has been doing quality work on behalf of the whole community ever since.
With service on the Planning Commission, Spruce Up Warrenton and other community outreach, Jess has demonstrated an ability to work successfully with a diverse group of people, a talent for grant writing and, in her words, a dedication to help build “a resilient community through evidenced-based policy, innovative economic strategies and community development.”
She’s a keeper, and an abiding way to feel good about politics. That alone is a rare and precious thing. I hope you’ll join me in voting for Jess, and for Warrenton.
