Kudos to Astorian Jeff Daly and the Friends of the Astoria Column for the wonderful production “Musical Stairs” on Sept. 28 at the Astoria Column. Presenting the history of the Column through words, accompanying music and lighting that changed with each historical period was magical.

The music from instrumentalists and vocalists staged inside on the Column steps resonated inside the walls and made for a kind of ethereal listening experience. Thank you to all who made this happen. Hopefully, this will be just the first “Musical Stairs” event.
