Letter: Right choice

On Nov. 5, we must make an important decision.

Freedom in America is precious, requiring us to vote responsibly. The choice is American democracy or one man’s ego to gain power again. Let’s move forward from chaos and divisiveness. Do we want more hateful rhetoric, a man bereft of honesty, integrity and morality?

What policies can ensure all Americans the freedom to vote, freedom to make their own decisions for their body and their family?

It is not name-calling when we call out truth. Truth is, one candidate for president is a convicted felon. The other candidate was elected prosecutor, state attorney general, senator, then vice president. Kamala Harris is the right choice, leading us into a bright future for all, not the 1% or those he’s beholden to. Your choice for president is clear.

We have an unprincipled man riding the horse of devotees bringing civil discord, throwing our country into division, hate mongering for his own ego. Read about Project 2025, you will be shocked what this playbook means if this convicted felon gets into office again.

Not voting is a vote.

He said, vote for me and “you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not going to have to vote.” I gasped, that’s not democracy!

Remember, it was President Barack Obama who emphasized the ongoing struggle for democracy. He called on citizens to remain engaged in activism. Activism is voting, that is democracy. Our freedom, the honor of our nation is at stake.
