Letter: Confident

When people say President Joe Biden’s spending on wars “over there,” please remember it is Congress that approves spending. Not the president.

Biden is the true patriot when stepping down and supporting Kamala Harris for our next president. We can say “thank you” to Biden’s almost 50 years of public service to our country. He values the future of the country, more than his personal ego, or making money from being in office, as we have seen in the past president.

We can be confident with Kamala, having been vice president, and the many other offices she has held. Kamala knows firsthand the work it takes to be the next president of America.

I trust her diplomacy (experience), see her positivity (she smiles instead of scowls), hearing her enthusiastic vision for the future (not fearmongering); her respect for others (instead of name-calling).

She wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth or her Daddy’s money; she has a working-class background. From day one, she will be working to expand the middle class, instead of wanting to be a dictator on day one.

I would rather have an honest person with integrity as my president than a convicted felon who avoids accountability. It is common sense, pure and simple. Harris and Tim Walz will have my vote!
