“In The Shadow of the Holy Mountain is out today!” an Aug. 16 email from indie rock group Blind Pilot said, announcing their long-awaited new album.

Lead singer Israel Nebeker (pictured, center) is a Seaside High School graduate. His late father was artist Royal Nebeker, his mother is former Clatsop County Commissioner Sarah Nebeker.

“It’s our favorite album that we’ve made, and we are so excited to share it with you today,” Nebeker wrote. “We hope it brings you joy, and moves you in the ways it has us.

“Thank you a million times for waiting. This is my happiest day in years. Thank you for all that you’ve given us over the years. A path to be on. A place for our music to go.
