Letter: Does Israel run our country?

I have never been more ashamed to be an American than when Congress invited the likes of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak in our hallowed chamber. And, to give him standing ovations sickened me. When that criminal referred to our brave anti-genocide protesters as Iran’s “useful idiots,” I thought, “look in the mirror, Congress.”

To cloak the slaughter of Palestinians as saving civilization, or worse, defending freedom and democracy, is a total bastardization of words. This is plain and simple: The owners of the world are doing business as usual. Humanity gets in the way of profit and power. These are strategic moves to gain supremacy over resources and the suppression of unwanted cultures who do not adhere to the neoliberal model of market rule.

Do we recall our forefathers insisting on the separation of church and state? Zionist-controlled Israel is a shining example. When power is joined with the absolutes of their god, only hell will come of it. In our own country, we are at risk with the same, as Christian fascists infiltrate our governance. God and money. That is why the U.S. is joined at the hip with Israel.
