State Rep. Cyrus Javadi will host a town hall in Astoria on Aug. 1. 

The Tillamook Republican, who is up for reelection in November, will participate in a question-and-answer session beginning at 5 p.m.

The event will be held at Clatsop Community College in the Patriot Hall gymnasium.
