The U.S. Coast Guard said one person died and two people are missing after a 26-foot boat capsized on Saturday morning near the Columbia River Bar.

The Coast Guard said on Saturday afternoon that rescue crews were searching for a 54-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy. The search was suspended as of about 9 p.m.

Five people were onboard the vessel when it capsized at about 10:30 a.m.

“Three were recovered and taken to the hospital, and unfortunately, one of them was pronounced deceased at the hospital,” Petty Officer 2nd Class Briana Carter said.
