SEASIDE — U.S. Highway 101 was temporarily shut down Thursday night due to a structure fire.

The highway was closed south of Avenue U as crews worked to contain the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

“I want to thank all of the mutual aid support,” Seaside Fire Chief Joey Daniels said.
