Escape the Vape announces student video winners

Earlier this year, Clatsop County middle- and high school-age youth were invited to create a 30-second public service announcement video as part of the Escape the Vape campaign to educate their peers on the dangers of vaping.
The first place winner in each category wins $500 each for the individual and their school; the second place winner in each category wins $450 each for the individual and their school; and the third place winner in each category wins $400 each for the individual and their school.
In the sixth to eighth grade division: first place, “Vaping + Addiction + Bad Habits for Life!” by the Clatsop County Revival group of Hilda Lahti Middle School; second place, “Excape the Vape,” by the Team Lady Glider Sparkles group of Seaside Middle School; third place, “Under the Disguise,” by the N.H. group of Seaside Middle School.
In the ninth to 12th grade division: first place, “Dunk on Vaping,” by The Ballers group of Knappa High School; second place, “Escape,” by the Team MLG group of Knappa High School; third place, “Don’t Wanna Miss This,” by the BAND group of Knappa High School.
All videos will remain up for public viewing through the end of the year at escapethevapeclatsop.com/videos-time-to-vote.
