WARRENTON — The Warrenton Public Works Department will shut off water service to areas of Hammond to begin maintenance work on Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the city’s Facebook page, the areas of Hammond that will be impacted are east of Jetty Street along Pacific Drive and north of Fleet Street.

The city is asking residents to avoid using water during this time to prevent air pockets in the water system. Water may be discolored or aerated after the shutoff due to the city flushing water.
