Recently, “The Goonies” star Corey Feldman had a few things to say to The Messenger about an idea that never says die: a Goonies sequel.

The rumors about a sequel have never stopped in Hollywood, and Feldman dropped a little bombshell by saying “there was a bunch of talk about a very exciting potential ‘Goonies’ project right before the writers’ strike happened, but I haven’t heard a peep about it again since.

“I would like to see a proper sequel one day,” he added. “ … I don’t think ever before has there been an entire cast who’s up for the task of making it happen and doing it the right way. But it just doesn’t seem to get there … ”

“I know Adam Goldberg (of ‘The Goldbergs’) wanted to take a crack at it,” Feldman added. Will the “very exciting potential ‘Goonies’ project” reappear? Time will tell. (Photo: coreyfeldman.net)
